Homer and Bart Find Meg

The subject of this picture is something that has been on my heart for a few years.

I am not a big fan of Family Guy, though my brother and I watch it frequently because it has its funny moments. The battles between Peter and the chicken, for example, always crack me up.

But after years of seeing the show, I've gotten tired of the mistreatment of Meg. I know the reason for it is because the writers otherwise don't know what to do with her. I guess that makes sense, and I know it's just a TV show, but it's still depressing to see someone, even a fictional character, treated so horribly all the time. She longs so much for love from her family, and they treat her like dirt and laugh and say "ha ha, you're so ugly." And whenever she gets a boyfriend, they turn all vicious on her

In my opinion, Family Guy in general seems to give off a "mistreat-women-just-for-the-heck-of-it" kind of vibe. I dunno...

However, I've always liked the Simpsons (more the old seasons than the new). They're not perfect either, but they have moments of sympathy and compassion.

So basically, in this picture, Homer and Bart are taking a walk downtown when they come across Meg at the bus stop, who has run away from home and took a bus to Springfield.
